The Camden Middle School Cougars roared to victory last night, securing the championship title with a decisive 24-8 win over Jane Macon to complete their undefeated season.
This hard-earned triumph is the culmination of months of dedication and tireless effort from both the players and coaching staff. The team’s offensive prowess was evident throughout the season, scoring an impressive 250 points. Meanwhile, the defensive unit proved equally formidable, conceding only 30 points for the entire season.
Head Coach Zack Marx, along with his assistant coaches John Grimesey, Greg Baker, Oscar Patterson, Gabe Powers, Anthony Stewart, Robert Gabriel, and Tyler Mudd played a pivotal role in guiding the Cougars to this historic achievement.
Key contributors to the championship win included Ja’Quan Mercer, Malachi Poole and Dorian Stevens who scored touchdowns, Makhi Smith who pounded the Macon defense with the inside running game, and Malek Smith who led the defense.
The entire Camden Middle School community extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Cougars football team and coaching staff on this extraordinary accomplishment.
