Softball Team

The Camden Middle School softball team concluded their remarkable season as the region runners-up. The team secured their spot in the championship game with a thrilling victory over Risley Middle.

The semifinal game was a highlight of the season. Before the game our 8th graders, Eden Ross, Ja'Leyah Bell, and Caydence Monticello were honored with their final walk around the diamond at Cougar Field. The game featured a stellar performance by pitcher Cassia Douglas, who struck out nine batters. Outfielder Caydence Monticello made a spectacular diving catch to preserve the lead.

The championship game, held at Brunswick High School, saw the Lady Cougars face their only undefeated opponent of the season, Needwood Middle. Despite a determined effort from pitcher Hydee Gay and a memorable over the fence home run by Jada Singletary, the Cougars fell short.

The team finished the season with a 9-3 record, with their only losses coming against Needwood.

We extend our congratulations to all the players and coaches, especially Head Coach Jocelyn Gonzalez, for their outstanding performance and dedication. We can't wait to see what the Lady Cougars have in store next season.
