Check out the incredible work from Ms. Moore’s 7th-grade math classes! Our students recently dove deep into the world of three-dimensional geometry, and the results were nothing short of spectacular.
Students were given the "Power of Choice" to demonstrate their mastery of complex geometric standards through four unique pathways: Edible 3D Models, 3D Scavenger Hunts, 3D-covered Models, and 3D Creatures.
🏆 And the Winners Are...
With so many impressive projects, we called in the experts to help judge! Our teachers cast their votes to recognize the "best of the best" in four categories. The students featured in these photos took home the top honors for:
🥇 Best Overall
🎨 Most Creative
♻️ Most Resourceful
💡 Most Original
🧠 What We Mastered (Standards in Action)
This wasn't just an art project—it was rigorous mathematics! Our students tackled Georgia Standards 7.GSR.5, focusing on:
Surface Area (7.GSR.5.6): Solving realistic problems to find the total area of right prisms and cylinders.
Cross Sections (7.GSR.5.7): Describing the 2D shapes that appear when you slice through 3D figures like spheres and pyramids.
Volume Exploration (7.GSR.5.8): Finding the volume of cylinders and prisms using concrete, real-world problems.
A huge shoutout to our 7th graders for proving that math is all around us! Scroll through the photos to see our award-winning "geometric geniuses" and their hard work on display. 📸✨

After independently reading novels, students created projects to teach key literary concepts like theme, conflict, and character development. Their work included pieces of visual art, dioramas, music compositions, baked goods, and so much more—each one showcasing both deep understanding and personal passion. Students also demonstrated their mastery of ELA standards by providing strong text evidence to support their analyses.
We are so proud of their creativity, effort, and insight!
