Mr. Millan's 7th grade science class turned into culinary travel agents to create a foodie tourism poster for each biome. Students researched Earth’s major biomes—from the frozen tundra to lush tropical forests—and explored the unique climates, geography, and native species that make each ecosystem thrive.
They then researched different countries' local foods and dishes within their biomes to create a draft menu of what to expect when dining in their chosen biome. Students took a tour of their Biomes Bistro to compare factors in each biome and their sample dishes, and will discuss the pros and cons of eating within each biome. Our goal is to see how local populations use native food and sustainable farming to make delicious meals!

Join us on Tuesday September 15th for our school Title I meeting and "Walk in Your Shoes" event. The meeting starts at 4:00 PM in the CMS Cafeteria.
Cougar nation showed up and showed out yesterday here at CMS. The softball team dominated Jane Macon with a score of 21-1 and remains undefeated in the conference. Our Volleyball team also beat Jane Macon bringing their record to 4-1. Tennis put up a fight falling just short to Frederica Academy 2 matches to 3. Our 8th grade football team beat our cross team rivals, SMMS, 20-6. Way to go Cougars!

Ms. Seymour’s 6th Grade Social Studies classes are stepping off the yellow brick road and using the movie The Wizard of Oz to kick off Unit 1!
They are
• Exploring how location affects culture/development, how humans and environments affect each other, and how moving people and ideas shapes societies.
• Drawing conclusions and making generalizations and drawing conclusions from maps as they evaluate Oz's habitats, culture, and transportation.
•Designing original maps of Oz complete with essential spatial features—including titles, full compass roses with cardinal and intermediate directions, map keys/legends, and graphic measurement scales.

Camden Middle School is excited to launch the Skills USA after school club. Skills USA is a national nonprofit workforce development organization that helps middle school, high school, and college students build skills for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations. This includes personal skills, workplace skills, and technical skills. If you feel like your child has an interest in this club have them sign up during lunch this week! Let's give it up for our Lady Cougar Softball team who took home a conference win over Needwood Middle School yesterday. The Lady Cougars, led by Coach Trew, Coach Bellflower, and Coach Copeland, dominated in their home opener with a score of 10-5 over Needwood. Keep up the great work Cougars!
Mrs. Kiser's 6th grade science classes had to reach outside of their comfort zones and learn how to work cooperatively with their classmates. They learned that they can do so much more if they communicate and work together.
