Talk about a great night for Cougar Nation! 🐾🏈🥎
Last night was a battle of the future Wildcats with CMS taking on SMMS on the football and softball fields and our Cougars left it all on the field and showed us what they're made of. In a defensive football battle, the Cougars came out on top with a 6-0 victory.
On the softball field, our Lady Cougars were down 5 in the first inning but rallied for a huge comeback win, 10-6! The comeback started with Addison and Ansley Turner, followed by Jada Singletary and Cassia Douglas. Cassia went 3-3 with 3 RBIs, and Brooklyn Daniels and Hydee Gay also added RBIs.
Way to go, Cougars!

This interactive activity encouraged students to:
• Obtain information by reading and recalling definitions and functions.
• Evaluate information as they discussed and justified their matches with teammates.
• Communicate information by explaining their reasoning and sharing what they learned with the class.
Throughout the game, students practiced identifying the cell structures and what each structure does in order to meet the basic needs of organisms. The hands-on, collaborative nature of the game made the learning process engaging and memorable.

Here’s a recap of all the action:
Tennis started the season strong with a win over St. Mary's.
Our football players and cheerleaders had a great time at Middle School Night with the Wildcats last Friday. Our 8th-grade team went on to dominate in their first game against Risley Middle, winning 36-8!
Volleyball is off to a hot start with a 2-0 win against Glynn Middle.
Softball also had a huge win over Risley Middle, with a final score of 9-4. A big shoutout to Hydee Gay, who was 3/3 with a triple and six strikeouts from the circle. Jada Singletary also went 3/3 with an in-the-park home run and two RBIs.
Ready to cheer on our teams in person? Come out and support the Cougars next week!
7th Grade Football: Home on 9/4
Softball & Volleyball: Home on 9/3
See you there! #GoCougars #CougarNation

How many drops do you think can fit on the surface of a penny? And which side do you think holds more, heads or tails?
After some hands-on experimenting, we found that the heads side holds more. But you won't believe how many drops our students were able to get on a single penny... a whopping 37 drops! 🤯
It was a great day of fun and discovery, and our students were amazed by the power of surface tension. 🔬

School safety remains our highest priority. Families, we need your partnership in reminding and educating your children about the seriousness of making threats. What may seem like an innocent prank, or simply something said out of anger or frustration, can carry very serious consequences. Every threat, whether real or fake, demands an immediate law enforcement response, disrupts learning, and can result in life-changing legal prosecution.
We take EVERY threat seriously and will continue working closely with the St. Marys Police Department, Kingsland Police Department, and the Camden County Sheriff’s Office to ensure swift and decisive responses to all threats.
The safety of our students and staff will always be our top priority. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
