Georgia Parent Survey

The Parent Survey is put out by the Georgia Department of Education to gather parent input.  The information gathered from this survey is used, in part, to determine our school’s climate rating (one to five stars).  Please take a few minutes and provide your valuable input for Camden Middle School.

Parent Involvement Events

The event scheduled for March 5th has been changed to March 12th at 10:30AM and 5:30PM.

*Sapp & Bruce Educational Consulting is an educational consulting company made up of two retired educators, both former teachers and school administrators.  Both educators worked most of their professional careers with the Camden County School System.  As a part of their company’s philosophy that parental support is imperative, their workshops are being provided to CMS free of charge.

As a parent, you can be part of this formula for school success by using the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) strategy at home and making a PBIS home plan. When you teach your child the same behaviors that are taught at school and reinforce them at home, you are encouraging your child’s social and academic growth. You can begin by:
• Comparing your home rules and expectations with the school’s core expectations for behaviors.
• Deciding how you can apply the use of those appropriate behaviors in your home and the community.
• Identifying a way to set up predictable routines at home.
• Modeling the behavior you want to see and reinforcing it consistently.
